With millennia of history, ancient traditions and culture, and a large country that stretches from the Persian Gulf to the Caspian Sea, Iran has never left anyone indifferent. So much to see, so much to explore! We were lucky to travel in Iran for two months, crossing from Turkmenistan as part of our world trip. Here are our suggestions for things to do in Iran, an Iran travel guide including Iran itinerary ideas.
Things to Do in Iran Travel Guide
Since we traveled overland, we actually skipped Tehran but most travelers will land at the International Airport there. So we included a day or two in the Iranian capital. But if you are short on time, feel free to leave the city right away. It has a reputation for being noisy, crazy, and most people try to escape it whenever they can. There are, of course, different sites to visit there, so it’s still worth a day if you are already around.
